"Appreciating the insightful and generous feedback" [SK]
"Amanda is genius!" [TS]
Valerie: What you said yesterday in the comments to my video need to be saved somewhere. It was pure gold.
Yes, it is saved! It is now all here, put together, every step from day 0 to day 5:
From "why do I have low engagement?"
To finding the sources of your ideal clients
To using the words they use
To creating content they must reply to!
Give me your hand for 5 Days…
… And I’ll give you simple ways to ensure you connect with your purrfect clients like this :)
It will be the best 5 Days to start getting leads from social media!
There’s only one thing for you to do right now!
Sign up for the 5 Day Challenge. You’ll get emails with all the times, dates & what you need for it (just your fine business owner self). You’ll get reminders during the challenge via email and access to the Facebook Group where the challenge takes place.
When you have something important to you to share with people you really want to help - when they ignore you, when you get no traction online, you start to doubt yourself.
You wonder if it’s ‘the algorithm’... or whether it is:
Your offer isn’t any good
You are instantly forgettable
Your work isn’t impressive
You’re not cut out for this
But is it you?
You know the right clients are out there, waiting for someone like you. But when you look for them, they are nowhere to be seen!
You need clients who value what you do, happily pay you what you’re worth & help you grow.
That takes a bit of hunting!
But…
It’s a struggle. I see genuine, idealistic, caring business owners (like you) who can’t help but make people’s lives better. Their ideas can make the world a better place - and earn plenty of good money.
They know who they can help. Well, they could probably help anyone they choose. But they’re starting to know the kind of clients who get the best results and the kind of clients they like working with the most.
Now they need a little push to start that conversation.
It’s scary. I know it is. I hide too.
But a lack of engagement is NOT your fault.
You just need to work backwards to where your purrfect future clients are right now. And connect with them there.
I know because I’ve done it.
I was so scared to start a conversation about business on social media. I was hiding for years.
Lurking. Observing. Comparing. Thinking everyone else had a bigger audience and better social skills than me. Following people I liked and helping businesses in the background.
Then I realised, I had learned more and more about my purrfect people along the way. I had researched them by stalking them online. I had immersed myself in their world.
I don’t often start conversations with purrfect clients. But when I do, I speak their language.
WHY DID THIS QUESTION WORK/GET SO MANY RESPONSES?
The question targeted my favourite people - people who teach, lift people up & are proud of it because they believe it makes the world a better place. Idealistic experts! And I spoke directly to them - to what they are proud of doing (teaching). Within minutes, this post got over 100 comments, and it’s still going...
I want the same results for you :)
I will show you how!
If you’ve done ‘ICA’ exercises, if you’ve got pages of demographics about who you’re targeting, but it still doesn’t translate to social media posts that get responses from your people… we have a problem.
If you’re still not sure if your definition of your ideal client is clear enough, if it’s changed many times, and if you’ve heard contradictory advice… you might be overthinking it.
You are passionate to help people who struggle with something you’re an expert in. Those people will happily value what you do. And caring about these people helps you grow.
Do you have conversations with people like that every day?
Do you get engagement from those people on your social media posts?
If the answer is yes, you don’t need this challenge.
If the answer is no, you could benefit from my expertise on researching purrfect clients for businesses.
MEET YOUR ENGAGEMENT PLANNER
When I was 31, I finally decided to stop hiding on social media.
I wrote different ideas, threads and business propositions. The most popular became my interviews with business owners about their business - from that, I would find them pages of information on people online practically begging for what they offered.
They didn’t know how I did it.
I’m Amanda Leek, how do you do?
I have years of experience in journalism and a degree in Philosophy & English Literature. I’ve been asking the right questions, adapting my words for different audiences and observing people since I was little.
Content marketing overlapped with journalism and I’ve worked in both fields since I graduated (before, if you count student newspapers). I love writing. But more than that, I love diving into an audience’s world, perception & their mind to see what makes their life meaningful & interesting. (The best writing comes from that).
The audience for your business
It’s easy, and it’s fun. With a bit of structure & a lot of curiosity. It's life-affirming.
Wnat to see How it's done?
Thank you. Appreciating myself for showing up and Amanda Leek for the insightful and generous feedback
Amanda: oh yes, you should appreciate yourself. Thank you!!
The questions have already massively helped figure some things out. I think I had the answers pretty clear, but one question threw out a lot of surprises that now I'm like, "well, duh!" to.
I subconsciously knew why I was doing the different 1:1 trials, but had no clue consciously. Now I do! Thank you!
AMANDA: I love these revelations and I love how you describe them! It's awesome to discover more things that make you so special through your answers here!
...catching up in my own time and it's really helped give me things to think about engaging my audience in a way that works for me and them
Glad to have the accountability of lovely people waiting to pounce on my homework!
Amanda is a genius! And this just scratched the surface...
It went well - even though I was being interrupted by my 4 year old, I loved the tasks!
It helped me reconnect with my mission and I felt my passion flare up like an inferno.
